BBQ by the lake, International pub and studying, that's my 4th week!!!

Me again...

Last week we went by the lake (not so far from where we did the sauna) to do a bbq. The landscape at around 6 pm was really beautiful as u will see on the picture if you click HERE .It was really nice but we didnt think it would get that dark so quick, lucky that we had the fire, harder when it came to go home by bike in the forest. That night we didnt see any nothern lights but few days after some people in my group saw the huge green light in the sky, soon I will see it as well :)

On the thursday, it was the first international pub, on of student bar/nightclub (SKogis) was booked only for us international students. We had lots of fun :) and a pre-party at my place before (I was in a pretty good shape héhé).

After that nothing special happen except studying coz I had my exam on Monday (I can be serious somethimes).

I forgot to tell u how crazy they are here with recycling. In my corridor we sort out everything from plastic to carton (even cans ...), there is always one person during the week in charge of the recycling. I took a pic of the recycling system in Mac Donald amazing!!

Third week in Sweden (I keep on going with my creative titles)!!!

Back on the blog for the second time this week!!! Click HERE to see the pics!!!

Nothing to be proud about coz I'm just keeping you guys updated from what happen these last 2 weeks. So really excited to know about what I have been up to on the third week???

Wednesday our swedish mentors (in my group:group 16) decided to organise an international dinner, so everyone had to bring one speacial dish from its country. I first promised to cook snales to break the french myth but I just found the snales but no the shells so I decided to opt for a safer solution as to say "crepes". It turns out that everyone in the group had pretty good cooking skills so we had a really fantastic dinner!
On saturday Erik decided to book the sauna on the lake, so we went there with his friends and my friend Laurie. And your are all wondering: Why is the sauna on the lake?? To jump in the water of course!!! And then you are thinking: was she brave enough to jump in the water?? what do u think of course I was, I even went in twice!!! In the evening, we had a bbq at Per and Anna (Erik's friend) and after went to dance at the student nightclub Corona.

My second week 5th to 9th of september

Click HERE to see more pictures of my 2nd week.

Hello guys,

Back in the blog loop with some delays I know... Have been really busy these last weeks as will proove the following pictures.

On this second week, I went with my class (management) in Videln to visit a company (Indexator for the rare persons who could be interested) and we had a lunch at so called Hotel Forsen which is surrounded by a beautiful landscape as u you can see below. After lunch we had some very fun team building activities. That was on Wednesday.

On Thursday, we had our first mentor program meeting. That program consists in international students divided in different groups with mentors (swedish people) to propose some fun activities, things to do or see. I have a really funny group with really nice mentors (a group of 5 students in Economics). We had a dinner all together followed by some hips shaking on the dance floor.

On Saturday, we continue getting to know each other in our team and had different crazy activities like doing art with our bodies, or the irish stick which consists of running around a stick 10 times and try to run straight afterwards. This international day was followed by an international pub at Krogen Krogen in Alidhem where all the students live (me as well) but the place wasnt the best place to have fun. Still fun though.

Here is the link to my photo album of my first week here in Umeå. You will find comments for some pics there. Enjoy!

Hello Sweden...

A drop of 20 degrees in temperature, heavy rain and cold wind... that's the way I got welcomed in Sweden! For those of you who may not know yet, I am going to spend one semester in Umeå, Sweden. And you have probably already guessed why I chose this destination: for the good-looking guys of course!
After my time in England I realized that sharing my experiences with photos and text could be quite hard. That is why this blog will be an excellent solution that allows you to see how I gradually become an ice cube! I will do my best to keep you updated, even between the far-away trips, all parties and "studying".

So, until next time, HEJDÅ!
